Mauricio Pochettino will have final say on Chelsea transfers as the club hone a more collaborative approach going forward keno
While there are set to be more signings in January despite a £1bn-plus outlay over the last three windows, the aim is to be far more targeted in the new year keno
The club's much-discussed American owners felt a total overhaul of the squad was due on arriving, as they sought to reshape it to have a much younger and leaner profile keno
That create a bloated group for a period of time that sometimes felt too large for the dressing room, but the feeling is that gradual trading has left them closer to an ideal profile keno
The target now is to fill any remaining positional gaps or depth to the team, so as to maximise Pochettino's tactics keno

The model is described as more like Manchester City's, where the manager will identify the type of tactical profile he needs, then the staff come up with suitable names, and the manager then decides on who to go for keno
Chelsea are expected to be one of the clubs that go for Brentford's Ivan Toney in the window, as a number nine would still be preferred, with Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja yet to fully convince as a long-term option keno
Although there is still a sense of seeing how the squad settles after one more international window keno
Chelsea enjoyed one of their brightest performances yet under Pochettino in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal, with Brentford visiting Stamford Bridge this weekend as the Blues look to rebuild after a slow start to the season keno

Sir Bobby Charlton, the World Cup winner and European Cup winner who is one of England and Manchester United’s greatest-ever players, has died at the age of 86 keno
Charlton, who won the 1966 Ballon d’Or, became the record goalscorer for both United and England in a career where he became known for his keno sportsmanship and dignity as well as his flair on the ball and his ferocious shot keno
A survivor of the 1958 Munich air disaster, Charlton went on to lift the European Cup a decade later, captaining Sir Matt Busby’s team and scoring twice in the 4-1 win over Benfica in the final keno
Two years earlier, he had been a fundamental part of the only England team to win the World Cup, scoring both goals in the semi-final win over Portugal and playing in a team alongside his brother, Jack keno
They remain one of just two sets of siblings to win the World Cup keno
The son of a miner in his native North East and a teenage prodigy, Charlton joined United at 15 and scored twice on his debut as a 19-year-old keno

He won three league titles and the FA Cup in his United career keno
He made 106 appearances for England, also a national record at the time, and was in the squad in four World Cups, playing in three keno
His total of 49 goals was the most by any England player until first Rooney and then Harry Kane overtook him keno
Charlton subsequently managed Preston and, for almost four decades, was a United director, playing a part in appointing Sir Alex Ferguson in 1986 keno
He was diagnosed with dementia, which his family announced in 2020 keno
The team will wear black armbands tonight in their Premier League fixture at Sheffield United and the pre-planned minute’s silence will be expanded to pay respects to Sir Bobby keno
A book of condolence will be open to fans and the public tomorrow (Sunday, 22 October) from 10am in the International Suite at Old Trafford keno
